Locking pocket door hardware
We offer a wide selection of lock hardware for our pocket doors. Depending on the material of your pocket door leaf, the locking mechanism you’re looking for, or the finish of the pocket door lock you’d like, the type of pocket door lock you need will vary. More information on these pocket door lock considerations can be found below:
Pocket door leaf material
The material of your pocket door will help you determine which lock is right for you, with the most common materials for pocket doors being timber & glass. Most pocket door locks have been designed to work with one of these 2 options, therefore you need to check which is suitable. If you’re buying your pocket doors directly from Pocket Door Superstore, we only show compatible hardware on each product page so you shouldn’t be able to choose something that’s not suitable, but if you’re unsure please feel free to reach out to our team with any questions.
Pocket door lock mechanism
Pocket door locks can work in several ways & the mechanism you’re after may vary depending on where in your property or building project they’re being used. These mechanisms can include thumb turns or “snibs,” where you push part of the handle mechanism up & down to lock the door. Some handles only function with certain lock types & some come with them already built in, such as the CaviLock by Cavity Sliders, so consider this when making your decision.
Pocket door lock finish
There are a few options for lock finishes, so you can make sure that your pocket door lock blends in nicely with the rest of your interiors. Options include bright chrome, matte black, polished chrome, satin chrome or satin nickel depending on the pocket door lock that you choose.
